SUMMER MATH BRAIN BOOST AT EYE LEVEL OF SKOKIE!

We are so excited to offer this summer 2017 opportunity for our students

What is the Summer Program? This program is an opportunity to explore and read both fiction and non-fiction books, and/or focus on Critical Thinking Math and word problem solving at the English and/or Math levels at which your child is currently studying.

When is this program being offered? The summer program offers your child and family flexibility. Sessions are offered in June, July, and August. You can choose which month or months to attend. There is no requirement to enroll for all three months.

How does this program work? This program is in addition to your student’s English/Math enrollment. When you enroll, your child will attend Eye Level twice/four times a week, instead of once/twice a week. One of the sessions will be for regular Eye Level instruction; the other specifically for the summer program. This gives your child the opportunity to read and analyze in depth with the instructor.

How are Summer Program sessions organized?

Reading Club: Each session is organized to encourage self-direction in the discussion of the book’s content, and the student’s questions and opinions. Writing responses, with each scheduled section of the book, enhances the understanding of the content and keeps up the student’s writing skills over the summer. The completion of the book is followed by a written, student book review.

Math Brain Boost: Each session is organized to encourage self-direction in the solving of critical thinking exercises and word problems. Instructors will coach new concepts to ensure understanding of the material and students will attempt different parts of the booklets in class.

What are the Enrollment procedures? Contact Ms. Rania if you are interested and she will work together with you to accommodate your schedule in determining dates of sessions. An enrollment fee of $60 per month/each subject for the months you choose will be billed in addition to your usual monthly tuition.
